How did you attract/address your audience?

This film was aimed at age 15 and over. Our main character represents the target audience that we would like to watch this. She is a teenager which most teens could identify with. Our antagonist/villian in this film is actually Samantha Evans boyfriend but he uses the toy clown to play mind games on her. Viewers could identify with this because the slasher classic scream uses this plot where the girl’s boyfriend is the main killer.  The audience should also hopefully like our soundtrack as the music we have used has a good beat whilst keeping the tension, the musics tension also builds and eventually ends on a climax.
Our victim Samantha Evans is“normal 16 year old” wearing orange top and black velour’s and socks whilst in bed. She is obviously a female (a damsel in distress)
We used camera shots from the point of view of Grimaldi the clown, used a blur effect and had a sense of voyeurism someone watching Sam whilst she sleeps; they seem to take pleasure in her having a nightmare. Clear shots of her location from the beginning of the sequence we can identify that we are in her room. Somewhere personal that is being intruded on.  We also used point of view shots of Samantha our victim. Due to the fact this film was low budget there are no SFX.

Audience feedback
After filming editing and putting the final pieces together we had a group screening with our media class and few invited friends and family. We got fairly positive feedback from most of the people. Everybody who watched had to fill out a questionnaire. The results were as follows.
Our audiences favourite scene was the ending in which the hand try’s to open the door.

Our audience’s favourite character was Samantha

Our audience mostly agreed on the film being a thriller whilst some felt it was more of a horror.

All in all we got some positive feedback about the music as well.
