This is the first mind map I created. It shows the creative process that me and my group have thought about and highlights our first three intial plots that we thought of together and also our intended target audience. Its very basic as it is the begining of our creative process and as we have a clearer picture of our vision for this title open sequence I will make more accurate,precise and fuller mindmaps that highlight specific objects, It was made with a program called mindjet which was very helpfully.
We have all finally decided to follow through with Sam Doona's idea of a clown based thriller. I really liked this idea but I didn't want it to be another gory, killing spree type of film. The group and i both agree on this being more of a psychological/horror thriller. This is when i had the idea of a toy clown that just won't go away, I however did not decide on weather this would be an evil clown or a good clown. This is when i represented my idea to the group they all seemed to be okay with it, Sam added some more input by wanting the clown to be a key ring. When we talked to our teacher Nina she gave us a lot of advice and told us if filmed correctly it would be a good open title sequence and kind of simple to make. We then had the idea to put this toy clown in somebody’s bag and the camera see's everything from the point of view of the clown. Now that we have established what sort of genre/theme/plot this will be we can move on to write our official synopsis and draw our storyboard after our next meeting. I'm very pleased with the progress we have all made and feel as if this is a great team where everybody is contributing brilliant ideas.
